Colorado 03:47
I wish I could say I didn't want you anymore I'd ask you to stay, but you're almost out the door Now you can't deny I put up a better fight Than every boy before, so won't you just stay the night? You say goodbye, and I'm afraid it's meant But I'm still trying to fix what's left Now I sit and pray the sea will wash me away with the tides Because your mind's been made, and I just can't say goodbye If I asked you today to just run away with me Would you turn around, walk away, or would you answer my plea? As my heart is carried off to the West I try to just smile and wish you the best Now, I hope Colorado treats you well You can forget about this boy, have some new tales to tell But I'll still be here, writing you songs I've got nothing left to do, now that you're gone

My Anxiety 02:52
Three sheets and slurring words again All I want is to lay in your bed And is this really me? 21 and no sense of security And I can hardly breathe Must be my anxiety You peer at me across the snow All I want is to walk you home And place your hand in mine And all we've got is time And I can hardly breathe Must be my anxiety And this bogus town Has gotten me down And who the fuck am I To think you'll give me a try? And I can hardly breathe Must be my anxiety

300 Miles 04:39
300 miles until we arrive You are by my side and that's all we need for this drive A song we both know the words to is on the radio And I can't help but feel warm 'Cause you sing a little sweeter And smile a little brighter You make my world seem so much better Whenever you're around As the sun hides behind the trees I can see the frost set in on the few remaining leaves Driving down this highway's never been so perfect But I just can't make these words come out 'Cause you make me feel so nervous Every time you flash that smile at me And my brain just keeps on searching, never finding my tongue To let these flustered words go free For so long I've looked for the answers To every question of love How have I never noticed the answers Right in front of me all along? 'Cause you sing a little sweeter And smile a little brighter You make my world seem so much better Whenever you're around 300 miles until we arrive You are by my side and that's all I need for this drive You're a perfect traveling companion Inside this Plymouth van Just you and I

Fiction 02:51
Well, I may not be the smartest But I've got a level head And I don't need to worry Where I'm going when I'm dead But you, you see things differently You say I live in sin You preach your good-book, gospel shit To me and my friends You cram it so far down my throat Until I can't breathe I say your faith's unfounded God is something I don't need To be a decent person I can do that on my own Kindness and compassion are Things I've always known And I said no, I don't need your god To tell me to act the way I ought Your bible and your teachings are all lies Crucifix across my heart and hope to die, hope to die You thieve, you rape, lie to my face All in the name of "truth" Beg your savior for forgiveness Never having proof You obsess yourself with fiction Dangling high upon a cross But you won't see those angels When you're overgrown with moss And I said no, I don't need your god To tell me to act the way I ought Your bible and your teachings are all lies Crucifix across my heart and hope to die, hope to die Your god is money Your god is non-existent Your god is nothing Your god... And I said no, I don't need your god To tell me to act the way I ought Your bible and your teachings are all lies Crucifix across my heart and hope to die, hope to die

about

This demo was recorded all in one take with one mic in my basement bedroom in West Fargo, ND. There are imperfections because of this, but I have always liked a lo-fi, raw feel to recordings, especially with acoustic music. I feel this demo gives you a great idea of what seeing me play live sounds like. Jack Stenerson and I are still working on recording a brand new full-length that will sound a lot more polished than this, but I needed to put something out in the mean time, as I have no idea how long that is going to take, I haven't released any new Remember Me recordings in 4 or 5 years, and I needed something new to help promote the weekend tour I have coming up in June with Windsor Diets. I hope you enjoy!
